Center Parcs are hiring senior chefs and the perks are pretty great

Set in the hundreds of acres of forest, the new Center Parcs resort in Longford will welcome 250’000 guests this year providing a range of facilities and activities. Center Parcs is currently recruiting for a number of culinary positions and you need to hear about them because they’re amazing!
1.Head Chef.
First up is a head chef position in Hucks restaurant. Hucks is a busy restaurant serving American cuisine. This is one of Centre Parcs’ busiest food facilities and has 250 covers, a bar, games zone and a children’s play area. It is a fast paced environment with ample opportunity to interact and engage with guests.
Key requirements:
Key requirements for this position include good communication skills/ interpersonal skills and a strong financial awareness. Experience of menu planning is also advantageous.
Daily duties:
Effectively controlling, co-ordinating and planning the activities of your kitchen as outlined in procedure. Maintaining a high guest satisfaction level through culinary leadership and ensuring the up keep of quality of service and quality of food produced. The chosen candidate will be responsible for the daily managing of your kitchen and your team in conjunction with ensuring cleanliness and hygiene standards achieved as per company and legal requirements. Additionally the candidate will be expected to work with the restaurant to ensure growth and success.
House keeping:
You will be contracted to work 160 hours per a four week basis on flexible shifts. Shifts are straight and will fall between 8am-11pm.

2. Senior sous chef de partie.
This position of sous chef will also be based in the busy environment of Hucks restaurant which specialises in American cuisine.
Key requirements:
Key requirements for this position include previous experience as a chef de partie with supervisory of a team in a similar establishment or large organisation. Additionally, an intermediate food hygiene qualafication or demonstrable experience or knowledge of health, safety and hygiene requirements is required.
Daily duties:
Daily duties include the effective and efficient management of the kitchen team. Ensuring the kitchen operates within its agreed budget through analyses and rectifying food costs and margins. Additionally, the successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring guest satisfaction levels on the quality of food and taking action to remedy shortfalls. Preparing and presenting food to the determined specification will also be a daily responsibility amongst more.
Housekeeping:
The chosen candidate will be required to work straight shifts and will be contracted for 150 hours per a four week period on a flexible basis.
